22nd February. A talk by David Middlemiss from the Dexter Cattle

David Middlemiss lives in the Corvedale in South Shropshire and keeps a
small number of Dexter cows on 2 acres plus some friends small
orchards. He will talk to us about this ideal smallholders' cow; the
pleasures and pitfalls of keeping Dexters; and try to answer your
questions. He is chairman of the Dexter Cattle Society (Mid Wales and
Shropshire Area) Group.

There will be a £5 charge to cover materials.

visit to see Rose Hayden's Toggenberg goats at Llanwddyn with an
opportunity to milk a goat!

Rob Cunningham from Maynard's of Whitchurch
is running an Introduction to butchery course. You will be shown
how to butcher a side of pork, sausage making and bacon curing. The
course runs from 9:30 to 16:00 and the price is £90 per person or £150
for couples, the price includes lunch and samples of sausage and bacon
